And if you go to Marina di Ragusa in August you will also have the chance to take part in a series of events that are notably keenly felt by local people: until some decades ago on the 14th of August people celebrated the end of rural works, and nowadays people still celebrate, on the 15th of August, with a game called "legno a mare", a long procession on the sea that includes many boats, theatre and music shows and the unmissable fireworks.
