The fifth Greenbuilding, the international exhibition and conference on energy efficiency and sustainable architecture, will be held in Verona from the 4th to the 6th of May 2011. For three days eco-friendly houses, passive houses, energy-efficient buildings and wood buildings will be protagonist in Verona.

In an epoch where issues like energy waste, polluting emissions and the need to spare energy and to find alternative sources are constantly discussed, an event like Greenbuilding is certainly very important. Moreover, the event is one of the main Italian happenings as far as the promotion of products and technologies for an energy efficiency architecture are concerned, and through the years it has developed and gained the appreciation of professionals coming not only from Italy, but also from abroad. Thus if you want to know all the latest news in this field, Greenbuilding is the event not to miss.

The catalogue of exhibitors and the program of events are always very rich. As far as exhibitory sectors are concerned, in the pavilions you can find stalls dedicated to energy efficiency in the building envelope (wood houses, thermal and acoustic insulation, extra-insulating windows, solar architecture, daylighting systems, sun shades, green building) to energy efficiency in building plants (heating and cooling, building automation, lighting), to sustainable water cycle in buildings (phytodepuration, rainwater recycling systems, home automation systems to save water), to greening for the built environment (roofs, green areas in the cities). The offer is completed by some exhibitory spaces that will be dedicated to design, consulting, technical press and sector associations.

A rich offer, which will speak not only Italian, but also many other languages, since there will be many exhibitors coming from abroad: last year there were 485 foreign companies coming from 43 different countries out of 1,268exhibitors. There were almost 70,000 professional visitors, a result that will hopefully be achieved also this year.

However, Greenbuilding is not only an exhibition; the program of the fair, indeed, also includes many conferences, training courses, workshops and debates that will be very useful to look into issues like energy certification, air conditioning systems, tax deductions, the renovation of buildings and so on, also thanks to the contribution of the most authoritative experts in the field of low impact and low energy consumption buildings. This year the focus will be on the energy renovation of historic buildings: the third Illuminazioni, i.e. the showroom of Greenbuilding dedicated to low environmental impact architecture, will be dedicated to the possible interventions on historic buildings following the criteria of energy efficiency and environment sustainability.

With a wide offer in terms of both events and exhibitors, also this year Greenbuilding is expected to be a benchmark in the field of passive houses, green building and sustainable architecture.
