Whilst the shops in England are crammed full of seasonal shoppers sheltering from the rain and making last-minute purchases, the seasonal vibe in Australia is much more laid back with beach barbecues and faux-snow scenes a distant memory. The temperature in Australia during December has been known to reach 40 degrees Celsius, making a welcome change from a Christmas at home in the UK. As Australia is such a large destination, you are spoilt for choice when deciding where to head for your luxury honeymoon, so a multi-centre trip would appear to be the best option. You and your new husband could even opt for a tailor-made honeymoon around the country. However, we recommend spending the first couple of days of your honeymoon holiday alone on the secluded Hayman Island, located in Australia's Whitsunday Islands. Here you can enjoy each other company whilst recovering from the stresses and strains of organising a wedding. Your next stop could be the rainforest location of Bloomfield, where you can spend a couple of days in a rainforest room listening to the sounds of nature, before retreating to an island on the Great Barrier Reef where you can relax for the last few days of your honeymoon holiday.
