There are many ways to discover a city. One way is definitely through the taste of local foods and drinks. It's fun, delicious and tells a lot about the cultural heritage. Some dishes are only served or liked in a particular season, depending on the availability. Typical winter dishes will be a bit heavier while starting in early summer; people prefer fresh salads, fruits and vegetables. Tradition also still plays a role in the daily lives of Germans and thinking about the winter season in Cologne, one might picture Spekulatius, freshly roasted chestnuts and Reevkoche.

The Sestieri of Venice, Six Districts With Six Different Personalities
Image via Wikipedia
Author: Albapp
Venice is divided into six districts or sestieri, three to the west of the Grand Canal and three to the east. Each of these districts has a personality of its own and hosts a part of the historical and cultural heritage of this city that is a work of art in itself.
Santa Croce is the first district the majority of tourists visit in Venice since the bus terminal where the majority of tour operators leave the tourists, Piazzale Roma, is located in this area. Santa Croce is one of the smallest districts and is the home of several significant churches like San Giacomo dell'Orio and San Stae, and of the International Gallery of Modern Art.

A Few Places of Romance in Paris
Image via Wikipedia
Author: Phil Chavanne
In Woody Allen's judgement, "As long as you haven't been kissed during any of those rainy Parisian afternoons, you haven't been kissed at all." A long-time dweller of the French capital, I'd have a hard time not to agree with the most Parisian New Yorker. Paris is a place as perfect as they come to live a glorious romance, rekindle your marriage, or meet your lifetime someone. The question is: where do you start?

Top 8 Sexiest Cities In The World
"Sex Sells"….. We have all heard this term and see it every day, whether if we're watching television, listening to the radio, browsing the internet or looking at a magazine, it's around us 24/7. When using the word "sexy" we are usually relating it to a person or article of clothing but in this case, I am relating it to some of the sexiest cities around the world. What makes a city sexy? It's a quality that transcends the mere physical beauty of its inhabitants. We are talking about those special places that make you feel incredibly alive, whether it's the people, food, music or atmosphere. There are countless reasons why we love cities, many of them admirably linked to the environmental advantages and sense of community that arise when people live in close proximity. Yet they also fascinate us for reasons that are less virtuous, but which help explain the enduring appeal of urban life through the centuries. Cities, in short, are sexy. The seductive quality of some places fills us with longing in the same way as a wink from an attractive stranger. Below are 8 amazing cities that make you want more once you have visited. I'm going to start you off in the west with some Latin flavor then escort you across the Atlantic.

Best Places to Eat in Val D'Isere
Image via Wikipedia
By Fiona Monk
Val d'Isere, as one of the top ski resorts in the world, has a wide selection of bars and restaurants to keep you entertained and well-fed.
Prices are relatively high but, in the main, you will receive a high standard of service and delicious food. For lunches, there are several mountain restaurants that serve fresh home-cooked fare to keep your energy levels up for skiing the rest of the day.
La Table de l'Ours restaurant is set within Hotel Barmes de l'Ours, and has the accolade of a Michelin one-star rating. As you would expect, menus are inventive and the food beautifully presented.

By Warren Ward
Venice is one of the most romantic cities in the world and the best time to visit it is in spring just before the weather becomes too hot and humid and the place is overrun with tourists.
Venice consists of one hundred and seventeen islands and the best way to explore all of them is by foot, as it provides you proximity with the culture of Venice.
The city is completely water locked and presents you with a unique mixture of modernism and ancient but thriving culture.

Venice Italy, A Guide for Travelers to One of the Most Romantic Destinations in the World
Image via WikipediaBy Sylvia Grgas
History, Beauty and Culture
Venice is possibly the most romantic city you'll ever visit. It is almost redundant to describe the charms of this fabulous floating city, surrounded by hundreds of tiny canals. While wandering through the maze of footpaths or sitting back in a gondola and exploring the city by water, be sure to stop and visit San Marco Square, the famous Rialto Bridge, the elegant Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. Venice is truly a place like no other, with its quaint alleyways, waterways and way of life.
